A game featuring just 4 penalty goals doesn’t sound too exciting but both sides threw everything they had at each other to produce a contest full of spirit and ambition despite the sticky underfoot conditions.
Burntwood had a comfortable passage through to the next round of the competition. They faced the worst of the weather conditions in the first half and managed to end it in the lead then they dominated the second period, scoring 3 tries.
Burntwood
returned to form after 2 disappointing performances recently. They were
inspired by outside half Matt Wood who rattled up 26 points including a
hat trick of tries.
