Burntwood make it 2 wins in 3 league matches with a trip to Leek.
Burntwood
RUFC would like to congratulate the following players who were recently
successful in being selected for the E.E.P.G the elite training group
run by Leicester Tigers.The players concerned were Troi Coleman,
Ryan Mason and Danny Poole. also the players mentioned and
Jordan Williams and Rob Jones were also successful in
reaching the S.O.R at Staffordshire. This is quite an achievement as 2
years ago this kind of success was the furthest thing on the minds of
the coaches of the age group all the coaches of the U14's wish all the
players the best of luck and press on to further achievements

2008/09 Season started off with a national vase defeat at the hands of Bedworth and a league defeat at Willenhall. There followed two good league wins against Cleobury Mortimer and Leek. The vets finally made a return to Burntwood's weekly line up and in there first game of the season they showed their class and experience to over whelm Lichfield Vets 41-12. Simon Edwards development squad have had a great start to their season with some promising talent from the younger members showing through.
