1st team Player of the year
Matt Watkins
At the club’s Annual Dinner to celebrate Burntwood’s 35th birthday, members were entertained by guest speakers Jeff Probyn and Mike Farrell. It was also the occasion for handing out various club awards for last season.
First team player of the year went to Matt Watkins, Amrit Derry picked up the award for the 2nds and Pete Wood was the winner for the 3rds. Young player of the year was Tom Restall and the Clubman of the Year was John Beaman. There was a special award for Paul Rogers who passed the milestone of 500 first team games earlier this season.
Earlier in the evening, Jeff Probyn was introduced to our main club sponsor for 2007, Steven Jones of Crown Cutting Services.
