Burntwood U12s are improving but their inexperience was exposed by a strong visiting Tamworth team whose dominant first half performance carried them to a 40-0 win.

Imposing play by the Tamworth forwards and good control of possession in the backs created a one-way first half in which the visitors scored at regular intervals.

A marked improvement by the home side after the break saw them take the game to Tamworth. At times they mounted real pressure on their line but ultimately there was no reward.

Shaun Latham was the pick of the pack whilst Rhys Thomas and Keiran Orchard combined well in the centre.

The U14’s made it two wins on the run when they visited Linley.
With superb rucking and quick ball down the back line, the visitors were soon 3 tries to nothing up.
Linley were always second best to the ball and Burntwood took big advantage of this, running in 27 points before the break.
The second half brought several changes to the Burntwood team, who by now had try fever. They added another 3 tries and a conversion to finish off a superb display of team rugby.
Try scorers: Ash Cockerill, Oliver Aleksesjuk - 2 tries each.
Tom Hall, Ben Carter, Hayden Hastie & Mike Pitchford – 1 try each
Luke Rookyard – 2 conversions
