Click here for Advertising Options Burntwood Rugby Club is celebrating it’s 35th year as an organisation in which the club has seen many changes. Since 1972, the players, committee, supporters and officials have worked hard to drive the club forward and produce a local sporting attraction that Burntwood can be proud of. As a club we have brought much success to Burntwood both on and off the field of play. Indeed many of you who are reading this may at some point enjoyed our successes with first hand experience, whether it being in a playing capacity, team supporter or enjoying a night out at our fabulous new clubhouse.
Over the last few years rugby union has seen an increase in
interest like no other sport with more people wanting to get
involved in the tremendous, friendly atmosphere and sense of
community that rugby provides and this has reflected on our club
in a big way. In 2002 Burntwood Rugby Club formed it’s first
junior section committee from parents of young players who took
an interest in the game. The junior section started off with an
under 13’s squad of about 20 players but these numbers soon
swelled to over 40 players once they had told their school
friends about the club and the game. We are now in a position
where we have over 200 junior section players, dozens of support
staff and coaches and hundreds of parents, grandparents and
other family members all enjoying Saturday afternoons and Sunday
mornings at the club.
In
October 2007, Burntwood Rugby Club launched it’s new revamped
website that has been specifically designed to accommodate the
growing interest at Burntwood and with the introduction of
broadband internet, we are recording home games and broadcasting
them on the website for the community of Burntwood to enjoy. In
addition to this we are also the hosts of the annual Burntwood
Wakes festival which is proving ever more popular each year with
people from all over the region. The website has dedicated pages
of information about the wakes festival including video footage
of the 2007 event and we are expecting a huge surge in internet
traffic in the build up to and after the 2008 event.
The new website can now offer an extremely cost effective form
of advertising to local businesses and services as well as other
groups in our community with professionally designed web pages
full of your detailed information. When you consider other forms
of advertising as well as the cost of production, distribution
or publishing I am confident you will realise the mutually
beneficial rewards of web based advertising on our local
community website.
About Web Advertising
There are several differences and advantages between our web
based advertising and conventional paper advertising. One of the
main differences is in the cost. A local community newspaper
will charge a considerable amount more for a lot less
information published compared to our web based sponsorship
deals. If you look at any services section of a local newspaper
you will see a lot of text adverts that only contain basic
contact information. If the person advertising had a choice they
would want as much information about their products or services
as possible to be published on a much bigger scale with full
colour, high resolution graphics. They would also want the
advert to be on several pages of the paper in different sections
because not everyone needs or reads the services page. You can
obtain this sort of advertising from our web based sponsorship
system that will not only include your basic information but
also detailed service description, email link directly to you,
high resolution full colour graphics and
the choice of video footage or animated enhancements with
your own fully designed web site within our web space. All of
this advertising comes at a fraction of the cost of conventional
advertising and the knowledge that you are sponsoring one of
Burntwood’s major sports teams.
Our web based sponsorship deals start from just £200 per year
for high quality, professionally designed web pages of your
business, product or service. That works out to just £4 per week
for your own, 24 hours a day, local advertising with regular
visitors.
